The Controversy about Drinking Coffee

If coffee were that bad for you would people be drinking it? The answer to that depends on what side of the issue you happen to be on. We have the ability to all comprehend why things such as drugs, alcohol, and tobacco use are controversial. Yet when you throw coffee into the mix many will tell you they think society is going over board. In many instances this new interest in it has to do with claims that coffee is very bad for your health.

One of the scariest reports out there’s that coffee might be linked to heart disease. Since this isn’t good news what are people to do? Well, the reality of it is that drinking coffee alone isn’t going to create heart disease. There are many other factors including heredity, your diet, stress, and how much exercise you get on a regular basis.

High cholesterol has been reported in many articles as being the result of people drinking decaffeinated coffee. Here they were thinking they were taking steps to help themselves and it backfired. These types of reports are scary but when you begin to look past the headline you will find many of them don’t hold much weight as far are being credible.

The issue of obesity is definitely a concern in our society though. This is one area where coffee often does have a very bad reputation. The days of plain old coffee have gone out the window in many places. Coffee shops all over the place offer you a choice of many flavored drinks. Yet the calories you will get from the might astonish you. If you consume these types of drinks daily you may notice you’re putting on a few pounds. You may be wondering why if you haven’t changed your eating habits.

Many individuals feel that drinking coffee makes them energized. They are ready to start their day after a few cups of their favorite brew. They’re also ready to work late at night, drive a car for hours, and crap for exams. This is due to the fact that coffee is a stimulant. Yet there’s information out there about how too much of it can make you jittery.

There have been plenty of studies done on how coffee affects the body. Yet the results are all across the board. This is a type of drink that’s different for each person. The amount the drink, what they drink, and even their body chemistry all affect it. If you don’t feel right after you drink coffee then you should think about stopping. Other than that you should feel you’ve the right to continue doing so in moderation.

This information is something you should share with your own physician. Let them know how much coffee you drink. Let them know how you feel when you drink it as well as what your overall level of activity is. Since you should be seeing a doctor you trust you’ll likely respect their feedback on the issue of drinking coffee.

The verdict is still out as to how bad coffee really is for you. If you consume a couple of cups each day you really have nothing to worry about. Focus more on a healthy lifestyle which will include a balanced diet and exercising for at least 30 minutes everyday. Drink plenty of water and work to reduce your level of stress. Then you can enjoy your coffee and not worry about it too much.
