In another article, I talked about using audio to collect testimonials on your website. There are lots of other ways to use audio as well. Audio has proven itself to be a “Ninja weapon” for boosting conversions when used properly in your marketing. If you do it properly, it will nearly without fail boost sales.

Here are three places to use audio for superior conversions:
Your squeeze page. Just record the copy that is already on your squeeze page. You can try something like, “Hi, this is Ray Edwards, and welcome to my site. I can’t wait to tell you all about my copywriting services, and how I can increase your sales, reduce returns, and help you build your business. To find out more, just fill in your name and e-mail address below, then click the submit button.” That’s a swift example off the top of my head, to give you an idea of how it should sound. Make your audio play automatically on this page. You might annoy a few people, but you’ll sell to a whole lot more. I’ve personally tested this for my clients’ websites – clients like Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Alex Mandossian. In nearly every case, autoplay leads to higher opt-in rates.
Your sales page. Add audio to the “Guarantee” section of your sales page. People feel more comfortable if they have the ability to hear you speaking about your guarantee in your own voice, and this will give you a large boost in conversions.
Your order page. Sounds crazy? It’s not. I recommend autoplay on this page too. When people click the “Buy” button to get to the order page, include a brief audio clip: “Congratulations on making a great decision. Don’t forget, you get all these benefits when you act right now. Simply fill out your name and billing information. Make sure you double-check your credit card information for accuracy, then click the submit button.” An audio feed here gives you more finished orders.
