A large challenge for most people involved in a home based business is asking people to join without being a high pressure salesperson. Some people do it easily, while others have good intentions, just very little skill. Honing our skills helps us extend our offer without communicating any pressure. Below are tips to doing just that:
1. In the beginning of your presentation, tell your prospect that once you present your information, their decision is 100% ok with you. Communicate that you comprehend that it’s their call as to whether your business is a good fit for them. This helps them let their guard down, and relaxes you, too.
2. Understand that the Home Based business industry is still in it’s infancy and there are 100 million people a year looking for a Home Based business! The market is vast – you don’t need that particular prospect to join for you to have have success!
3. Don’t grant yourself to become attached to the outcome. If you focus on the money you will make when they join, or how much you want a new member, you will communicate desperation subconsciously.
4. Stay in the game by surrounding yourself with things that you enjoy. Focus on the positives of life, the things for which you’re grateful. Insecurity demands that your prospect make you feel good which isn’t good for them or you. Being positive about life makes draws them in with you!
5. Know why your client wants to begin a home based business. This is your most powerful tool, because it is what is driving them to look. Show them how their issue can be resolved using your business – connect the pieces for them.
6. Remind yourself of why you are doing what you’re doing. Even if you don’t love sales, but you have a passion to accomplish your goals, you’ll communicate heart and passion which is appealing to others!
7. Ask what is going on subconsciously inside of you before you make contact with a prospect. If there’s anything less than positive, nip it in the bud. Start to list the things you’ve to be grateful for and when you feel the change happen inside, do your calls.
