Get a Green Audit This day
With all the Green regulations mounting, more companies are realizing the need for a serious Green certification of their service or product. We live in a Green-concerned world that will give contracts to Green firms. Before anyone can certify a Green program, there are several important questions that must be answered before any Green certification can be allowed.
The first question is “What is the definition of Green?” and the second is “How do I certify that my product or service is Green?” Both questions seem to have numerous half-baked answers that will do more than prove how embarrassingly unprepared most people are about this new challenge.
To comprehend the nature of Green, it is important to measure the health implications of whatever affects our lives. Health impact of any program must be evaluated on an immediate and long-term affect humans, animals, or living things. If any product or service is harmful in either timeframe, the Green nature is questionable. It must be said that there are no 100% Green programs. Green virtue is determined as a ratio of minimal harm and maximum benefits. Contrary to the EPA position, it could be said that a disinfectant is actually Green from an objective standard because it has a minimal health concerns when applied, but has multiple health benefits to people post-application.
A Green Audit requires a total review of the product or service being offered to assess the pros and cons of the project. The process is a professional evaluation that determines if there’s a basis for the Certifiably Green Clean trademark. This certification is done by an independent third party that does more than collect a fee. The Green Audit provides the information to substantiate the certification, and these findings are published in a report that provides solid proof for Green Clean certification.
Some products can earn the approval of the EPA, but the EPA process can be difficult, inapplicable to your situation, or too difficult to obtain. Working with the Green Clean Institute as an independent firm, the Green Audit is available for commercial and non-commercial applications. This process is honest, efficient, and uncompromising. It does, however, require a complete review and evaluation to determine if the program can be certified as Green.
It is possible to seek the approval of the EPA, but the EPA process can be costly, slow, and not applicable to your project. The Green Business League works with the Green Clean Institute to perform the Green Audit for commercial and non-commercial applications. Not all programs will earn this certification, but those that do, have a great certification.
We are in an era when many Green claims are by self-promotion and not objective. This process will end in eventual disappoint. There is even a term for misleading Green claims. Greenwashing is a growing practice where claims exceed the facts. The Green Business League supports the Green Clean Institute Green Audit process. It is possible to earn your Green certification through this process, but there is no guarantees of certification until the facts are in. It is advisable that companies seek Green certification before they lose out on a lucrative and important business opportunity.
