When you’re creating ads for your Google Adwords campaign you’ll need to build them carefully around the right keywords. This seems like commonsense and many marketers have perfected this art. They do the proper research to find the ideal keywords.

There are other factors, apart from keywords, which will make or break your pay per click advertising campaign. A factor that should be addressed is the fact that surfers have even less attention span than consumers listening to TV ads. This means that they will not look beyond the first 5-10 pages of search results.

In order to be seen an ad must be positioned within the first 5-10 pages of the search results. How can you do this? By paying more money.

If you have figured out Google Adwords this section may be repetitive. However if you’re new to this method of marketing this is important to know. Adwords can be thought of as a big auction. There are lots of people bidding on frequently searched keywords, but few on tiny known ones.

So be aware that you’re not the only person utilizing a certain keyword. How can these search engines determine where to place an ad? Because Adwords works by pay per click the highest bidder on a key word will earn the rights to a top position. These high paid keywords are welcomed by the search engines and will always gain top positions.

It does take time to find the correct mix for keywords and bids, as you test and try new things you will probably take some losses. Always remember that conversions are usually only 10% of your clicks and not each one of the clicks.

Bidding is almost as important as choosing the right keywords for your campaign. This is because if you don’t have a good placement for your ad you’ll not draw enough traffic or sales. The road to a successful campaign is to take your time when you bid.

So when you create your Adword campaign be sure to remember these points. When you consider it you will be wasting a lot of time and money if your ad that you worked so hard on is not even being viewed.
